Privacy
Clipboard tools sit next to sensitive material, so the default posture has to be local, boring, and explicit.
Clipboard content
The website only requests clipboard access after you click Inspect clipboard or paste into the Clipboard Inspector. The browser-visible data is processed on that page; it is not uploaded or retained by ContextPaste. The planned Mac app is designed around local inspection and local transforms.
ContextPaste should never send clipboard contents, copied text, pasted text, URLs, filenames, screenshots, or document contents as telemetry.
Waitlist
The waitlist stores your email address, the problem segment you selected, optional source and destination app names, an optional note, and the page path where you signed up.
This data is used to invite beta users and understand which paste workflows matter. It is not enriched with clipboard data.
Telemetry
Product telemetry, when added, should measure structural events: diagnostic run, issue type, preview shown, cleaned paste completed, repeated issue detected, and rule interest. It should not include the actual material being copied or pasted.
